The Food

The K2K Experience food is a highlight for many guests, espeically after a hard days walk!

Delicious, home cooked two-course evening meals made with home-grown and locally sourced produce.

Continental-style breakfasts include cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, eggs, spreads (including homemade preserves) and plunger coffee.

For lunches we supply you with loads of yummy stuff to fill your lunchbox to overflowing and keep you energised while you explore. Lunches include fillings to make a filled roll/wrap/sandwich, fresh fruit, juice box, muesli bar, and delicious home baking.

Evening meals may require a small input, such as warming food or cooking something on the barbeque.

Special dietary requirements: we are more than happy to cater for any dietary requirements, however due to the special foods and extra costs incurred catering for gluten and diary-free meals we do need to charge a $10 per day surcharge to cover gluten & diary-free meals. No surcharge applies for vegetarian meals. Please ensure that inform us at time of booking if you have any dietary requirements.

At each accommodation a basic trampers shop will be stocked with some sudry items, snack foods and beverages for purchase. Expect to pay prices similar to a country service station. As well as a range of cold drinks, items you can expect include chocolate, sweets, chips, toothbrushes, batteries, soap etc.
