The three nights accommodation on the K2K are as diverse as the track itself. Your first night is spent relaxing and preparing for the walk at a 120 year old historic homestead set in five acres of beautiful garden. Your second night is spent in a rustic farm bach surrounded in native bush where you’ll wake to the sound of tui and woodpigeon. Finally, on your last night you will enjoy the beautiful sunset views over the Kaipara Harbour at a classic farm cottage.
At each nights accommodation comfortable beds are made up with fitted sheets and a pillow and pillow-case changed daily. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag.
Mataia Homestead has two queen-size beds, otherwise beds are single / bunk beds.
